Manager SAP ABAP

Position Overview

The Manager SAP-ABAP, sitting within Technology & Digital, is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and optimal performance of SAP ABAP applications across the organization. The role leverages deep technical expertise to drive system enhancements, upgrades, and performance optimization, ensuring SAP solutions stay aligned with evolving business requirements.

The position works in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, foster innovation, and enhance operational efficiency. All activities follow established company policies, divisional objectives, and the strategic direction set by the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Distribution, Finance, Quality, Operations) to translate business requirements into effective SAP ABAP technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP programs (reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements) in line with SAP standards and global coding practices.
• Optimize existing ABAP applications to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support data migration and system enhancement initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout.
• Lead testing, deployment, and post-implementation support to deliver stable and compliant SAP solutions.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and provide ongoing support to ensure smooth user adoption and long-term system sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Data Science.
• 2–3 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience (ALV, OData, SAP Fiori, Adobe Forms).
• Proven experience designing, developing, and enhancing SAP ABAP programs in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-coordination skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to manufacturing or regulated industries (pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar).

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Data Science.
• 2–3 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience (ALV, OData, SAP Fiori, Adobe Forms).
• Authorization to work in Pakistan (Lahore-based, on-site).
